Lexus has unveiled its concept car LF-Gh (Lexus Future Grand Touring Hybrid). The unwrapping has come ahead of its official debut in the upcoming New York Auto Show. The rear wheel driven car, with a superb design balance of style and functionality, has a hybridized power train, the specifications of which are not revealed yet.
While waiting for the detailed pictures we got to know that it has a all new, future Lexus interior including a “3D Clock.” The car’s appearance is boosted with a aggressive, spindle shaped front grille. The concept car promises a comfortable drive, with plenty of room for occupants even for extended drives, apart from minimized emissions. The exhaust is explicitly diminished to confirm intention of minimized emissions.
Kengo Matsumoto, general manager of Toyota’s Lexus Design Division had this to say:
For this concept, Lexus designers studied characteristics that are often considered contradictory and difficult to execute together. The captivating design of the LF-Gh concept examines the possibility of balancing what are normally opposing qualities, such as style and functionality.
