Spooky Light Painting Photography

Canadian photographer Danny Turcotte, owner of Catch-Light Photography, put his camera on a tripod and then used long exposures in the dark (with the shutter locked open) to create these colorful yet spooky light painting photos. Astoundingly, each of the photos in this series are from one single exposure. He did not use Photoshop or any other type of post processing software to achieve these effects. Rather, Turcotte explains that they are the result of "just me at night with different kinds of lights running around moving them." Packed with ghosts, ghouls, tombstones and other surprises, Turcotte's images show that creativity can penetrate darkness and clearly shine through.
