Volkswagen T-Cross Breeze Concept

Presented at the recent 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the T-Cross Breeze Concept previews the design direction for the future SUV and crossover models.
Following the BUDD-e Concept unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, at the Geneva Show Volkswagen has unveiled the T-Cross Breeze, previewing an upcoming compact SUV.

The exterior design of the four-seater open show car evolves the design language of the recent Tiguan. The rugged character is underlined by the muscular volumes and the plastic protections that surround the entire car.

The proportions are characterized by a reduced length (4,133 mm), a relatively long wheelbase of 2,565 mm , short overhangs, a width of 1,798 mm and a height of 1,563 mm.

The front end features thin LED headlamps and a grille, both with hexagonal elements, matched by the similar pattern of the lower air opening.

Overall, the exterior look of the T-Cross Breeze shows more than a few similarities with the Evoque, even if in a more compact package.

The interior has a high-tech, futuristic look and features an advanced user interface with touch surfaces in place of conventional buttons and switches.

The powertrain uses a 1.0 liter TSI, capable of delivering 110 hp and 175 Nm from 1,500 rpm. The unit is coupled with a DSG double clutch 7-speed transmission.
