Reinforcing its commitment to luxury, German automobile giant Audi has unveiled its Trimaran Yacht, which was conceptualized by designer Stephanie Behringer. The German designer developed the futuristic boat as part of a graduate project under Audi’s strict supervision.
The vessel looks elegantly robust without being too aggressive, and adheres to brand values of Audi that is to be progressive, sportive, premium, and setting new standards with innovative design. The jet-driven 15m-long sleek boat with a slender hull measuring only 6.40 m wide could even be steered in shallow waters as its draft is only 58 cm.
One can socialize or relax in the deck area that accommodates 12 people with additional space for more guests in four berths placed below. Two extra berths could be created by flipping down a saloon table. The vessel has been designed with a suspended seating bench for optimal driving comfort.
The huge panoramic glass roof allows undisturbed view and protects one from wind and the scorching sun. The front portion of the vessel is reserved as the storage area.
Explaining the design, Behringer said:
The new concept integrates two jet skis within a motorboat. The hull’s architecture is based on a trimaran (a boat with multiple hulls), consisting of a main center hull which is supported by two smaller outrigger hulls on either side of the boat. Inside each of these two outrigger pods, one jet ski is stored.Powered by two efficient and lightweight AUDI TDI (turbo-charged injection) diesel engines, the boat’s jet skis are electric driven. The slim multiple hulls make the yachts efficient and less friction resistance in the water besides being very stable at sail as well as at anchor.
