The blend of sporting looks and performance with the latest ‘green’ technology, Jaguar is all set to rock the Paris Motor Show with its XJ220-inspired 780-horsepower C-X75 RE-EV (range-extended electric vehicle) concept. The concept is Jaguar’s first mega performance vehicle since the 1994 cancellation of the XJ220.
Powering the vehicle are the four electric motors working in conjunction with “micro gas-turbines. Each of the electric motors at the four corners produces 195hp, which takes the total tally of output to 780hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle runs from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, can travel up to 110km on full electric mode with a range of 900km before one needs to fill the fuel tank and charge the lithium-ion batteries and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
C-X75 RE-EV concept can run on LPG, diesel, biofuel or natural gas, plus four electric motors and produces just 28grams of CO2 per kilometer in non electric mode. The concept flaunts Storm Grey ‘Bridge of Weir’ leather seats and an aircraft-inspired dashboard of cream suede-like leather and polished aluminum. Also, the steering wheel is covered in soft neoprene and a top-end ‘surround sound’ hi-fi is included along with a custom-made clock which is kept wound by the acceleration and braking of the car.
Additionally, 4.6-meter long, 1350-kilogram Jaguar C-X75 concept has blue luminescent interior theatre’ lighting For the change of mood and many more.
