To secure the Carbon Reduction Label, the machine’s total carbon footprint was measured and certified by the Carbon Trust. The Carbon Reduction Label demonstrates Dyson commitment to further reducing its hand dryer’s carbon emissions.
Environmental benefits

The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer can help a business reduce its carbon footprint and cut down on waste from paper towels. Most paper towels don't get recycled, so they end up in landfill where they take years to decompose, or have to be incinerated. Each dry with paper towels accounts for up to 15.5g2of CO2.



NSF Protocol P335

The Dyson Airblade™ is the only hand dryer certified hygienic by NSF International, leading independent public health specialists. The NSF Protocol P335 sets out the standards a hand dryer must meet to be considered hygienic.

A HEPA filter removes 99.97% of bacteria from the air used to dry hands. To illustrate how this works, we set up a special test in a'smokebox' to show how the HEPA filter in the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer removes bacteria from the airflow. This ensures that you are drying your hands with clean air.

Airblade™ technology

Air is forced through two continuous apertures the width of an eyelash – creating sheets of air travelling at 400mph. Water is scraped from hands in just 12 seconds. You won't find Airblade™ technology in any other hand dryer.
Faster than a F1 engine

Designed by Dyson engineers, the Dyson digital motor works very differently to conventional, brushed motors. It uses digital pulse technology – spinning 81,000 times a minute. That's fast enough to suck over 7 gallons of bathroom air every second.
